2 Monroe Residents Treated For Smoke Inhalation From Laundry Room Fire
This was the fourth house fire in Monroe in the past five weeks, according to fire officials.
MONROE, CT — Two people were treated for smoke inhalation following a residential laundry room fire Sunday evening in Monroe.
Emergency crews from Stevenson Volunteer Fire Company, Stepney Fire Department and Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service responded to the report of the fire on Lynn Drive around 7:30.
Fire damage was limited to the laundry room, but there was a significant smoke condition throughout the house, according to a report on the MVFD Facebook page.

The two residents evaluated by Monroe EMS did not require hospitalization, according to fire officials. The occupants are staying with relatives while the smoke damage is addressed.
