Beloved Tradition: Ridgefield School Of Dance To Present ‘The Nutcracker’
Ridgefield School of Dance will stage "The Nutcracker" and a Jazz Department showcase at Ridgefield High School.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield School of Dance will open the holiday season with a performance of “The Nutcracker” on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Ridgefield High School, followed by “Trust Fall,” a jazz program featuring original choreography by Stevi Van Meter and Jamie Rae Walker.
Tickets are available online here and will also be sold at the door.
The production features Tchaikovsky’s score and choreography by artistic director Jessica Boelts. The show includes dancers ranging from young students to pre-professional performers.

The ballet follows Clara from a Victorian holiday party into a dream world where toy soldiers battle mice, snowflakes whirl through a blizzard and the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes visitors to the Land of the Sweets.
Giorgia Avallone of Ridgefield will perform as Clara. Seniors Allie Bouleris, appearing as the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Allegra Groth, performing as Coffee, will be featured in their final year with the school. The Waltz of the Snowflakes will be presented by the Pre-Professional division, including Ridgefield dancers Zoe Keenan, Bella Locatelli, Lily Skirkanich and Gabby Tuttle, who will also portray the Queen Rat.

Korey Tuttle will appear as Herr Drosselmeyer, joined by Greg Bouleris and Richard Keenan in party scenes.
“A fantasy-filled ballet, ‘The Nutcracker’ is a holiday tradition, and our mid-November presentation is a fun way to welcome the holidays,” Alison Brown, director of the school, said in a statement.
The Ridgefield School of Dance is located at 66 Grove St.
