Car Stolen From Ridgefield Home: Report
Two other attempts were made to steal cars in Ridgefield Monday, and 15 cars have been stolen in town.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are investigating after a car theft and two unsuccessful attempts in town Monday, reports the Ridgefield Press. The car was stolen between 2:40 a.m. and 3:15 a.m, according to Capt. Jeff Kreitz.
The Audi S5 was recovered later Monday afternoon in Waterbury, and the homeowner told the publication the car was stolen without waking him up.
A Waterbury gang is suspected to be the culprit of a series of car thefts across Fairfield County. From January to October, Ridgefield police investigated 11 reports of stolen vehicles, compared to three reported between 2014 and 2016.

15 cars have been stolen in Ridgefield in 2016.
There were also attempts to steal cars on Oak Knoll Road and Armand Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgefield Police Department.
