St. Stephen’s Church has been celebrating its 300th anniversary throughout 2025 with special church services, a gala evening at Lounsbury and a photo-history book titled Celebrating 300 Years of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. The latest commemoration falls under the edible category: a new ice cream flavor, Nutmeg, developed by Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe expressly for the anniversary. It will be available at the popular Main Street dessert haven throughout the month of November only. “Nutmeg ice cream is delicious all by itself,” said the Rev. Whitney Altopp, St. Stephen’s rector. “I can only imagine how great it would be with pumpkin or apple pie—perfect for Thanksgiving! And a dollop in coffee should be wonderful. We are so grateful to Deborah Ann for helping us celebrate in this unique and tasty way.”
