Ex-Ridgefielder David Cassidy Dead At 67: Reports
"The Partridge Family" star formerly lived in Ridgefield in the 1990s.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A teenage idol with ties to Ridgefield died Tuesday, according to multiple media reports including NBC News. David Cassidy of "The Partridge Family," died at 67 years old Tuesday.
Cassidy had been hospitalized for organ failure on Nov. 18, and it was learned that he needed a liver transplant. He played Keith Partridge on "The Partridge Family," and soared in popularity as one of the faces of popular culture in the 1970s.
"David was an iconic teen idol in the 70’s and he maintained a career spanning movies, theatre, music, writing, directing," Read a post on Cassidy's official website. "His multi-generational connection to so many people from all walks of life, from all around the world will be felt today."

The Ridgefield Daily Voice reports Cassidy lived on four acres on Olmstead Lane in Ridgefield for three years with his wife and family. The family then moved to Las Vegas.
