Father Of Sandy Hook Victim To Perform At Ridgefield Playhouse

An album inspired by his late daughter was nominated for two Grammy awards.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A grammy nominated musician who lost his daughter during the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting will be performing at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Jimmy Greene, a jazz saxophonist and gospel musician, will be joining Jon Cleary for a night of music and wine tasting.

Greene's daughter Ana Marquez-Greene was one of the 20 children and six educators killed on Dec. 14, 2012. His album "Beautiful Life" is a celebration of Ana's life, and it was nominated for two Grammy awards.

Tickets to the show cost $37.50, and the show begins at 8 p.m on Thursday, Sept. 21. There will also be an Italian wine tasting by Vi. Sco. Inc. Wines and an exhibit by mosaic artist Joe King.
