RIDGEFIELD, CT — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Ridgefield for 2023.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows and festivals happening in and around Ridgefield so you can start planning now.

In Ridgefield, the town's Independence Day fireworks were postponed until Sunday, July 9, due to the threat of thunderstorms.

Gates at Ridgefield High School will open at 6 p.m. for the Sunday evening celebration, with a number of vendors on hand providing food and treats.

Parking Passes are $20 and can be purchased online or in person by cash or check at Town Hall and at Fairfield County Bank Ridgefield locations. There are no refunds in the event of a cancellation.

Parking will be available at Ridgefield High School, Scott’s Ridge Middle School, Barlow Mountain and Scotland School. Shuttle buses will run to and from the Barlow Mountain/Scotland parking areas.

The Family Firework Celebration is sponsored by Fairfield County Bank. No grills or alcohol are permitted.
