Former Ridgefield Playhouse Marketing Director Dies: Report

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Lisa Barrett, a Ridgefield resident and the former marketing director at the Ridgefield Playhouse, died Tuesday at the age of 55, the News Times reported.

Barrett was marketing director at the Playhouse for 15 years, before reportedly taking a job at Sacred Heart Community Theatre in Fairfield.

She has a son named James who is in high school, and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in late-2023. A GoFundMe campaign was launched last year to help with James' education and future needs.

As of Thursday night, the still active page had generated more than $42,000.

"Before Lisa died, I made her a promise — I told her we would all rally together to make sure James is okay and taken care of once she is gone," wrote Allison Stockel, former executive director of the Playhouse, who started the page. "Please donate so that James has a secure future and can attend college."
