Free Christmas Tree Drop-Off Offered At Ridgefield Transfer Station

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Residents can dispose of Christmas trees free of charge at the town’s transfer station on Saturday, Jan. 17, according to officials.

The transfer station is located at 55 South Street, Ridgefield, next to the Recycling Center

Those dropping off trees are asked to enter on the scale side so attendants can see the tree. All tinsel, lights and decorations must be removed before arrival.

Officials said no other trash should be brought with the tree, noting that vehicles carrying additional items will be weighed and charged under normal procedures.
