There are plenty of holiday light shows, parades, fairs and festivals to attend in the Brookfield area. Here are some to consider:

Brookfield Holiday Tree Lighting & Fire Truck Parade on Saturday, Dec. 6, 5:00 p.m.
Town’s annual holiday tree-lighting in front of the Town Hall (802 Federal Road / “Village Courtyard”), followed by a fire truck parade. Expect music, hot cocoa, cookies, candy canes and family-friendly holiday atmosphere.

Danbury Light the Lights Winter Festival on Saturday, Dec. 6, 3–7 p.m.
Downtown Danbury (1 Ives St.) hosts its large tree-lighting, with a 40-ft tree, Santa arriving by fire truck, a fire-truck parade, hot chocolate/cookies/soup, holiday music, vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities. Open to all.

Danbury Stew Leonard's Christmas Tree Lighting — Thursday, Dec. 4, lighting at about 5:00 p.m.
At Stew Leonard’s, 99 Federal Road. A smaller tree-lighting within a retail context — good for a quick holiday-shopping and lighting outing.

Ridgefield Festival-of-Lights Friday, November 28 at 6:00pm in front of Town Hall on Main Street
The traditional kick -off to the town's holiday season includes musical performances, guest speakers, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Bethel Winterfest — Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 (evening)
At Municipal Center (1 School Street). Though just before December, it marks the start of the season for nearby residents — tree-lighting, seasonal activities, shopping/food trucks, etc.

Newtown Youth and Family Services 40th Annual Holiday Festival — Sunday, Dec. 7
On Main Street in Newtown; community-oriented festival with holiday-market atmosphere, Santa visits, decorated houses, trolley rides and a kid / family focus.
