Medical Examiner: Death Of Elderly Ridgefield Man A Homicide
The 83-year-old Powderhorn Drive man suffered blunt force impact to his head and neck, according to the State Medical Examiner.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner's Office has determined the death of the elderly Powderhorn Drive resident on Saturday was a homicide.
Marc Uricchio, 83, died as the result of sharp force and blunt force impact to the head, neck, torso and extremities, according to the Chief Medical Examiner.
On Monday, the son of the deceased man, Steven James Uricchio, was charged with murder and arraigned in Danbury Superior Court.

Ridgefield police were called to the home at around 1:00 a.m. for a domestic incident, when "it was determined that an elderly male was deceased inside the residence," according to police Capt. Jeff Raines.
The 31-year-old Uricchio was taken into custody without incident, Raines said. A judge had ordered a competency review to determine whether he will stand trial.
