The Ridgefield Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Annual Membership Drive, inviting individuals to join the organization and contribute to its mission of fostering mother-daughter relationships through community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences.

The Ridgefield Chapter is actively seeking girls in 6th grade, as their NCL journey commences in the spring/summer before entering 7th grade. While the primary focus is on this age group, the Chapter welcomes the participation of girls in 7th to 9th grades as well.

The NCL Ridgefield Chapter started in 1990, has about 210 members, and is partnered with more than 40 philanthropic and local government organizations in the community.
Over the past year, the chapter has delivered meals to homebound seniors, volunteered at Special Olympics games, donated holiday gifts to children in need, supported Ann’s Place Festival of Trees event, donated fresh sandwiches to Dorothy Day for distribution to those in need, ushered patrons into events at ACT and The Ridgefield Playhouse, and stocked food pantries. These are just a few examples of how NCL’s Ridgefield Chapter supports the local community.
“We recognize how important philanthropy is in our community, especially for nonprofits that serve vulnerable groups who are constantly in need of volunteers,” said Yenny Reed, President of NCL Ridgefield Area Chapter. “And we look forward to welcoming new mothers and daughters into our chapter, with the goal of creating life-long philanthropists who will be committed and caring contributors of their world.”
