New Ridgefield Parent Endorses Andrew Okrongly for BOD of Finance for Responsible, Future-Focused Leadership

I’ve been a Ridgefield resident since 2023, although my wife has been one since she was born. From the moment I set foot in Ridgefield, I knew I wanted to live and be part of this community. Today, my 9-month-old son is also a proud Ridgefield resident and will grow up as part of the town’s new generation.

One of the main reasons I wanted to settle here is because I was genuinely impressed by the education system, the feeling of safety, and the active participation of residents in daily life. I have known Andrew Okrongly since 2021, when he joined the Board of Finance (BOF), and I have witnessed firsthand his dedication to our town, embodying the community spirit that drew me here.

As with anything that truly matters, it’s often seen in the details: leaving work in NYC early to attend BOF meetings (we sometimes catch the same train), engaging with constituents outside the library, and working late to build financial models for BOF discussions. As someone raising a family here, I fully support Andrew’s focus: delivering responsible budgets that balance affordability while considering the long-term impact of today’s decisions that will shape Ridgefield’s legacy for my son and our children.

Andrew embodies two of the most important traits any successful professional can possess: preparation and passion. With years of asset management experience, his role on the BOF, and service on the Pension Commission and the Senior Tax Credit Committee, he brings both expertise and commitment to the job.

Ridgefield deserves leaders who care, act selflessly, and lead with a future-minded focus; leaders who will hand the baton to the next generation with pride. Andrew is one of those leaders, and I strongly encourage my fellow residents to vote for him on Row A for Ridgefield’s BOF now until November 2nd with Early Voting, or on election day, November 4th.
