Obituary: Chloe Lindsley Ball, 80, Of Ridgefield
A resident of Ridgefield since 1985, Chloe retired as the head of Human Resources from Demetron, Inc., a local dental specialty company.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Chloe Lindsley Ball, 80, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Chloe was the loving wife of Richard W. Ball and the devoted mother of Mark Lindenberg.
Chloe was born in Auburn, NY, on Sept. 30, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Stephenson) Lindsley. After living in Auburn, her family moved to the Finger Lakes town of Skaneateles, NY. Shortly thereafter, the family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL. Chloe graduated from Palm Beach High School, where she had the honor of being president of the "Keyettes." She attended Longwood University in Farmingville, VA. Chloe then returned to the Palm Beach area, where she met and married Paul Lindenberg. After the birth of her son Mark, they relocated to Cocoa, FL, where she and her husband began manufacturing racing sailboats, he having been a world-class racer.

In the very early 1980s, Chloe and her son Mark moved to Newport, RI, where she joined Derecktor’s Shipyard and held various accounting and other administrative functions. It was there that she was introduced to her husband, Richard.
A resident of Ridgefield since 1985, Chloe retired as the head of Human Resources from Demetron, Inc., a local dental specialty company. She was active in the Ridgefield Women’s Club, where she served as president. She became a Stephen Minister and pursued other volunteer activities. Chloe enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, flying to various destinations with Richard, and attending classes in art, music, and cinema at Founders Hall.

Chloe is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard; her son, Mark; her grandchildren, Jack and Julia Lindenberg; her brothers, Mark, Steve, and Craig; as well as several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Tammy and brother Mike.
A celebration of Chloe’s life will take place in early June.
