Obituary: Meredith Marie Russo, 49, Of Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Meredith Marie Russo, 49, of Ridgefield, died on Feb. 8, 2024.

Meredith was born on Aug. 22, 1974, and was raised in Patterson, NY.

Meredith was the beloved wife of Dr. Joseph Russo, mother of their three children, Isabella, Joseph Jr. and Michael, daughter of deceased parents Patricia Ivers and Thomas Ivers, and sister of brother Thomas Ivers and sister Tricia Paulsen.

Meredith attained her master’s degree magna cum laude from New York University, operated her own psychotherapy private practice in Ridgefield, was a prior C-level recruiter, started her own recruitment company, was a licensed yoga and meditation instructor, and was a business partner with her husband.

Meredith was an avid outdoors person who enjoyed hiking, swimming, skiing and boxing.

Meredith was a gifted dancer and gifted mom to her three children who were central to her life.

Meredith can be remembered as an intelligent, insightful and imaginative individual who was “the shining light” in all of the lives she had touched.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately.
