1 Person Hospitalized Following Crash In Ridgefield: Fire Officials
The occupant of one vehicle had to be extricated by emergency crews.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — A crash Monday on Route 7/Ethan Allen Highway shut down traffic and sent one motorist to the hospital, fire officials said.
Crews responded to the collision in the area of #137 Ethan Allen Highway involving a car and a truck at approximately 1:45 p.m., according to Ridgefield Fire Assistant Chief Tony Cerulli.
The rescue team found one occupant trapped in a heavily damaged vehicle. Crews worked quickly to perform the extrication and safely removed the individual, Cerulli said. One patient was taken to Danbury Hospital by Ridgefield EMS. No additional injuries were reported.
