Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? No

Previous public office, appointive or elective: My wife and I moved to Ridgefield from North Salem, NY 2 years ago. I was Chairman (April 2011-June 2017) and a Member (September 2005-April 2011) of the Fiscal Advisory Committee of the North Salem Central School District. I was a Member of the North Salem Central School District Facilities Committee (October 2021-June 2023). I updated school leadership via synopsis of latest Covid news/research 3-4 times weekly (June 2020-June 2021).

Why are you seeking this office? I believe in public service and giving back to the community we live in. In addition to the activities previously described, I've been a member of various boards, many dealing with education and alumni organizations but community organizations as well.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? My background in real estate and finance are particularly pertinent to the activities of this board. What we do is not political - the law is the law - we aim to administer it fairly.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? I think my experience working on many different boards, whether for educational, university, community, alumni or religious organizations, has given me the skills to work with others and for something greater than myself.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? Be honest to yourself.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions? Its actually fun to work with others for the benefit of our community and neighbors.
