Thrown Stone In Ridgefield To Postpone 'The Good District'
Thrown Stone has made the difficult, but prudent, decision to postpone "The Good District" to Fall 2026.

Press release
Thrown Stone has made the difficult, but prudent, decision to postpone The Good District to Fall 2026.
Like many in the arts, we’ve seen funding shrink or disappear over the past year due to economic uncertainty. Rather than move forward without the support this new play deserves, we’re stepping back — to raise funds, grow our audience, and strengthen community partnerships.
This fall, we’ll hold a workshop of The Good District led by director Dexter Singleton, with public readings to gather input and deepen local connections.
With public and institutional support in retreat, individual giving is more important than ever. If you believe in new work, honest inquiry, and theatre that brings people together, we invite you to stand with us.

We’ve always operated debt-free, with a commitment to both artistic excellence and fiscal responsibility. With your help, we’ll keep that promise — and keep making new theatre.
We look forward to seeing you at the CT Short Play Fest this August, the off-Broadway world premiere of Phanésia Pharel’s The Waterfall in January, and to returning to The Good District in the fall of 2026 with renewed momentum and purpose.
Yours sincerely,
Jason Peck and Jonathan Winn
