Ridgefield To Expand Testing As Rate Of Coronavirus Cases Drops

The Town of Ridgefield will also be hosting​ a webinar on the current state of its efforts regarding the coronavirus on Thursday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield is currently reporting nine new coronavirus cases as of Dec. 14, with ages of cases ranging from under one to 100. The majority of the cases fall in the 40-50 age range, according to a release from the town Office of Emergency Management.

Ridgefield's case rate has dropped to 28.6 cases per day per 100,000 residents, measured over a 14-day period. The town is one of the 163 communities across the state that are in the coronavirus red zone, and at the highest risk for coronavirus spread, according to state officials.
