Ridgefield Football Team Shut Out In Bid For Championship Bracket
The Tigers lost to Cheshire in the Class L semifinals in a bitterly cold contest Monday night.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield High School Tigers were shut out in their bid to advance to the Class L football championship game with a 21-0 semifinal defeat by Cheshire in an away game on Monday night.
The Rams' Noel Martinez had two touchdown runs, and quarterback Aiden Gregorich added a 27-yard touchdown run to help lead Cheshire to their first trip to the state finals since winning the Class LL crown in 2009, according to GameTimeCT.
The third-seeded Rams will take on No. 1 New Canaan in the championship game on Saturday, Dec. 13 at a place and time to be determined.
