Ridgefield Memorial Day Parade Set For May 26 With 1,500 Marchers
Ridgefield's Memorial Day Parade on May 26 will feature 1,500 marchers, bands, floats, and a military flyover.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The town’s annual Memorial Day Parade, organized by American Legion Post 78, is scheduled for Monday, May 26, and will include more than 1,500 participants and a military flyover.
This year’s parade will feature nearly 70 groups, including six marching bands, approximately 45 vehicles and floats, and various community organizations. The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. in front of Jesse Lee Church and conclude at Ballard Park.
Capt. Frank Casey, a decorated Vietnam War veteran who served two tours of duty, will serve as Grand Marshal. He is also slated to deliver the keynote address during the closing ceremony at Ballard Park.

The event is open to the public, and town officials encourage residents to attend in honor of those who served in the armed forces.
