Ridgefield Police Charge 2 After Inspection Finds Illegal Cannabis, Nitrous Oxide Sales
Ridgefield police say two men face charges after an inspection found illegal cannabis and nitrous oxide sales at Village Smoke Shop.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield police say two men face charges after investigators discovered illegal cannabis and nitrous oxide products being sold at Village Smoke Shop on Main Street.
According to the department, members of the Detective and Patrol divisions conducted an unannounced inspection Thursday, assisted by the state Department of Consumer Protection’s Cannabis Control Division.
Police said the inspection revealed that the business, located at 433 Main St., was selling multiple illegal cannabis products and nitrous oxide canisters.

Barjinder Singh, 52, of Southport, was charged with possession of cannabis or a cannabis-like substance with intent to sell and released on a $10,000 bond. Naga Vanga, 26, of Bridgeport, was charged with violation of a restricted substance and also released on a $10,000 bond.
Both are scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 7.
