Ridgefield Police responded to a disabled automobile at 1:50 p.m. on Danbury Road Aug. 24, and found the driver of the car, John Kovacs, 44, of Elderberry Lane, Ridgefield, was driving with a suspended license. Kovacs had driven the car off the road into the woods. Police charged him with operating a car with a suspended license and failure to drive in the proper lane. He is scheduled to respond to these charges in Danbury Superior Court on Sept. 3.
Ridgefield police provided this information. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
