Ridgefield Postpones Fireworks Display Until Sunday Night

The threat of rain and thunderstorms in the area on Saturday has led the Town of Stamford to postpone the fireworks display until Sunday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Due to potential rain and thunderstorms predicted in the weather forecast for Saturday, July 6, Ridgefield has announced it is postponing its Family Fireworks Celebration to Sunday, July 7.

Gates at Ridgefield High School at 700 North Salem Road will open at 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service is warning of a 70 percent likelihood of precipitation during the day Saturday, and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible, according to NWS.
