Ridgefield’s Tiger Shark Tank Returns, Local Entrepreneurs Invited To Pitch Business Ideas

Tiger Shark Tank, Ridgefield's popular business pitch event returns in the fall.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Economic & Community Development Commission (ECDC) announced the return of its annual Tiger Shark Tank event, set for Oct. 28 at the Ridgefield Playhouse.

Now in its fourth season, the live competition gives local entrepreneurs and small businesses an opportunity to pitch innovative business ideas before an audience of more than 300 community members, investors, and business leaders.

The ECDC is currently accepting applications from startups and existing businesses with economic ties to Ridgefield. Interested entrepreneurs must apply by October 1. Interviews for potential participants are now being scheduled.

The event is free and open to the public, although seating must be reserved in advance through the Ridgefield Playhouse website. Walk-ins are also welcome on the event date. Doors and a cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-event networking opportunities, featuring resources and guidance from small business support organizations, including the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Presentations will start at 6:30 p.m., with winners announced later in the evening.

The Ridgefield ECDC is also seeking event sponsors to help expand the prize pool and cover event costs. Sponsors will receive promotional exposure through town-wide email blasts, social media, and other marketing efforts.
