Heavy Snow, Strong Wind Gusts Possible This Weekend In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Ridgefield saying there is the "potential for a coastal storm to bring heavy snowfall and high winds to portions of the area Friday night into Saturday night."

However, the weather service said, "Uncertainties remain with the track and intensity of the coastal storm and its resulting potential impacts." The weather service currently lists the chance for snow Friday and Saturday to be about 50 percent in town.

Before we get to the possible weekend storm, Ridgefield will see warmer temperatures Tuesday, with highs near 40 degrees. But the temperatures will drop to around 12 degrees tonight, and Wednesday will be bitterly cold.

Thursday is also very col,d and according to the weather service it's possible snow could begin after 1 p.m. Friday in Ridgefield.
