Joan Olmstead Gay, 91, died peacefully on Mar. 7 at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton; a former telephone operator who once connected a call for Roy Rogers, she later dedicated herself to homemaking and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, bowling, playing piano and accordion, card games, and was a 77-year member of Cannon Grange No. 152.
Nancy Norton Pastula, 94, passed away on Mar. 8, 2025; a former volunteer who organized fundraising events, she enjoyed golf, bridge, bowling, Mah-Jongg, pottery, reading, theater, dancing, dining out, evening walks, cross-country drives, and was a longtime member of multiple country and tennis clubs.

Mary E. Flanagan, “Momo,” 99, passed away on Mar. 5, 2025; originally from Ireland and a U.S. citizen since 1954, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and was known for her Momo Muffins and Pancakes.
Elizabeth (Betty) McDonnell Fitzgerald, 97, passed away on Feb. 28, 2025; a former teacher and longtime volunteer, she was a devoted golfer who played courses worldwide, including St. Andrews, enjoyed tennis, bridge, and community service, and was active in her parish and Meals on Wheels for over 40 years.

Meveral Rickert (nee Beam), 93, passed away on Feb. 22, 2025; a devoted cantor and choir director for over 20 years, she found joy in music, faith, volunteering at Birthright for 30 years, welcoming newcomers as a Welcome Wagon ambassador, working for Dr. Zarkowski, and playing bridge at Founders Hall and Ridgefield Crossings.
Mary Ann Catherine Sheehy, 70, passed away on Feb. 19, 2025; a dedicated educator for over 40 years serving as a teacher, department chair, literacy specialist, and administrator, she enjoyed baking, reading, gardening, volunteering at Weir Farm, hiking at Tarrywile and Block Island, and caring for wildlife, especially owls, hummingbirds, and rescued animals.
