Special Weather Statement Issued For Inland Southern CT
The National Weather Service has just issued a Special Weather Statement for the area for tonight and Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for inland sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties for late tonight and Sunday morning.
In the statement the weather service says, "...POTENTIAL FOR BLACK ICE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...Rainfall ends this evening and light winds tonight will limit the drying of pavement. Temperatures are forecast to drop near or slightly below the freezing mark early Sunday morning resulting in the potential for black ice to develop on untreated roads and walkways. This risk will remain until around 8-9am when temperatures are expected to safely be above freezing."
And we may see some snow late Monday and early Tuesday but it's likely to mix with rain and sleet too.
