I write to express my thanks for the encouragement, support and kindness of so many during my campaign as a candidate for re-election to the Board of Police Commissioners. I truly appreciate that people were willing to open their doors to a stranger, put up with my interruptions on the street, display my candidate and “Vote YES” signs in their yards, and support me with letters to the editor. I am especially grateful to the members of the Democratic Town Committee who endorsed me and work tirelessly in defense of our democratic institutions. I have been proud to represent you as one of your candidates.
Most importantly, I am deeply honored to receive the votes of thousands of my fellow Ridgefielders. Thank you.
I look forward to continuing to serve with John Frey, Issy Caporale and Ralph Money and now with Steve Riebling, and I will do my best to validate the trust placed in me to represent the interests of all Ridgefielders in supporting our outstanding Police Department.

Finally, I am grateful to all of the Ridgefielders who voted “Yes” to move forward with the Public Safety Building. Your vote was a message of support to our First Responders and a validation of the bipartisan hard work over more than five years by the members of the Boards of Selectpersons and Police Commissioners, supported by the dedication of our Police and Fire Department leaders and our Director of Public Works and Facilities, Jake Muller.
Regrettably, too many other voters chose to leave all of our First Responders in inadequate, unsafe, and unhealthy buildings for years longer. I hope that when the next referendum to approve a new facilities plan comes before the voters, more will recognize that delay brings only increased financial, operational, and morale costs.
