Volunteers Needed for Ridgefield's New Blight Citation Appeals Board

Residents with a legal background or other related skills and experience are encouraged to apply.

Ridgefield’s Board of Selectmen is seeking qualified individuals to volunteer for the newly formed Blight Citation Hearing Appeals Board.

The Blight Citation Hearing Appeals Board will consist of three members who will hear the cases of those who have received blight violations and wish to appeal them. The board will meet on an as-needed basis.

All members of the Blight Citation Hearing Appeals Board must be both registered to vote and have their principle residence in the town of Ridgefield. Candidates with a legal background would be welcomed.

There are three spots open on the board and the Board of Selectmen would like to appoint the members by the end of June.

Anyone interested in serving is asked to contact the Office of the First Selectman at 203-431-2774 or selectman@ridgefieldct.org.
