RIDGEFIELD, CT — The National Park Service has announced that artist and educator Aspasia Anos will serve as the May 2025 Artist-in-Residence at Weir Farm National Historical Park.

Anos, who works in photography, painting, and printmaking, will spend the month creating a body of work inspired by the landscape of Weir Farm, a site that has influenced generations of artists for more than 140 years. Her work combines the strength of black-and-white photography with gestural techniques in ink and paint to explore themes of turbulence in both the natural world and human experience.

“My art is a response to the turbulence of the physical world around me and the turbulence of life itself,” Anos said in a statement released by the park. She added that she is eager to create in the serene and historic setting that has long served as a retreat for artists.
