ROCKY HILL, CT — A winning scratch ticket worth $1 million was recently sold in Rocky Hill, according to the Connecticut Lottery. A Rocky Hill resident claimed the $1 million top prize on a "$1,000,000 Gold" scratch ticket. The man told lottery officials he purchased the ticket, scratched it, realized he won, calmly exited the store, and went to seek a financial advisor. "If I didn't win, I figured at least I'm doing my part to help the state," he said with a laugh. The ticket was sold at Our Way Convenience Mart on Main Street in Rocky Hill. For selling the winning ticket, Our Way will receive a $10,000 bonus, according to officials. The winner said he plans to use his winnings to pay off some outstanding debt.
