• Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Blaze At Rocky Hill Home, Fire Officials Say (patch.com) — Rocky Hill residents are learning more about a serious house fire on Main Street where firefighters rescued a woman with life-threatening injuries from a heavily smoke-filled, hoarded home. Crews battled intense flames, called in extra resources, and temporarily closed parts of Main Street and George Road while ensuring no first responders were hurt. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Hartford home to redevelopment (hartfordbusiness.com) — The Connecticut State Police Union is relocating its headquarters to a newly purchased office condo on Cold Spring Road in Rocky Hill after its East Hartford tower is slated for apartment conversion. The $260,000 move brings union operations into town while a major mixed-use redevelopment reshapes the former Founders Plaza site along the Connecticut River.
