Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain, Fog Forecast for Rocky Hill
As many residents begin traveling for Christmas, we'll let you know what Mother Nature has in store for you over the next few days.

It’s just your typical early winter forecast for late December featuring thunderstorms, fog and record-breaking temps, which are all forecast in the next 24 hours.
If you’re headed to the airport or packing up the car for a long trip be prepared for some unsettled weather especially today.
Rain and thunderstorms are forecast to begin after 4 p.m. The rain will be heavy at times and will be accompanied by dense fog too.

Southern Connecticut can expect to receive up to three quarters of an inch of rain this afternoon and evening and an additional half inch of rain late tonight and early Thursday, the National Weather Service states.
Rain and thunderstorms are also forecast for Hartford and Tolland counties but the amount of precipitation should be a bit less there, the National Weather Service predicts.

The rain for all of Connecticut is expected to end by dawn on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve will be cloudy with record-breaking temps forecast. We could approach 70 degrees!
If you’re traveling Thursday night expect to deal with some patchy fog.

On Christmas Day there is a very slight chance of showers in the afternoon but overall it’s expected to be partly sunny with temps in the low 60s.
