STORM UPDATE: Statewide Travel Ban Lifted, Simsbury Still Under Parking Ban
As the storm passes, a parking ban is still effective in Simsbury to allow snow to be cleared from roads.

As the travel ban is lifted, a parking ban remains. The Town of Simsbury announced its parking ban will remain in effect until 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, to allow Public Works to finish clearing streets of snow.
Simsbury received approximately one foot of snow, with considerable drifting due to high winds, the town said. Snow plowing crews have removed most of the snow and are continuining to work on widening the roads and pushing the snow back from where it drifted.
During this time, the parking ban will remain in effect until this evening so plowing can be completed. Town officials advised residents that additional plowing will occur early tomorrow morning and asked that residents avoid parking on streets until later in the day if possible.
