Southbury Community Center's getting new roof

The project to install a new roof on the Southbury Community Center began on Oct. 23. The Republican-American reports that the project is being done by Silktown Roofing, Inc. based out of Manchester, Conn.

Silktown Roofing, Inc. won the bid for the job at a price of $218,000, according to the Rep-Am, which also reports this is among a few other capital improvement efforts going on.

The roof is being repaired due to leaks which have the potential to cause health issues to people who utilize the building, according to First Selectman Ed Edelson via the Republican-American. The project could be completed sometime next month.
