6 Different Schools Earn First-Place Votes In Latest Football Poll
One school vaulted from sixth place to first in the most recent balloting of Connecticut sports media members.

CONNECTICUT — Following a wild and wooly weekend on the high school gridiron, a new number one team emerged in balloting by members of the state's sports media.
Southington defeated previous No. 1 Greenwich to assume the top spot in the rankings, garnering six first-place votes. New Canaan and Shelton also snagged six top nods each, as a total of six schools were deemed worthy of the pole position by voters.
Here are the top 10, with first-place votes and last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other programs earning support.
