7 Teams Improve Positions In Latest High School Football Poll

CONNECTICUT — Southington and New Canaan retained the top two positions in this week's football poll of the state's sports media members, but seven other schools improved their rankings from last week.

West Haven had the biggest gain, moving up three spots, while Cheshire made its season debut in the top 10.

Here are the top 10, with first-place votes and last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other programs receiving support.
