Enfield Man Guilty Of Raping Woman At Southington Motel: State
The incident happened in 2024 at the motel and in the convicted rapist's vehicle, according to state authorities.
SOUTHINGTON/ENFIELD, CT — A 35-year-old Enfield man has been convicted of sexual assault in connection with an incident last year in Southington.
Christian M. Watson, New Britain state’s attorney, Wednesday announced a New Britain Superior Court jury on Monday, Aug. 25, found Jeremy Figueroa-Gerena, 35, of Enfield, guilty of several charges related to the case.
Watson said Gerena was found guilty in a joint prosecution of two pending cases, the charges being first-degree sexual assault, four counts of violation of a protective order, first-degree unlawful restraint, and third-degree assault.

The conviction stems from the sexual assault of a woman at a motel in Southington in 2024, Watson said.
"After the sexual assault, the defendant physically assaulted and restrained the victim in his vehicle on the highway," wrote Gerena in a release Wednesday.. "The defendant had a protective order prohibiting him from having contact with the victim."

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 16 in New Britain Superior Court.
