Free Books Available Friday For Southington Children

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The town will be the place to be on Friday for local families looking to pad their childrens' reading collections, with free books available at three separate sites in town.

The Southington Summer 2023 Bookmobile Tour has three stops in town where books can be had.

They are:

• The Margaret Griffin Child Development Center parking lot off Eden Avenue, behind Derynoski Elementary School from 10 to 11 a.m.

• Bread for Life's summer lunch program, Summer Brook Apartments, building 32A-35 parking lot, 35CC Darling St., Southington.

• Southington Farmers Market, Southington Town Green, Main Street, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The book giveaway is a joint project of the Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington and the Read to Grow project.
