Grappler From Southington High School Wins CIAC Divisional Title

TRUMBULL, CT — A grappler from Southington High School turned in a championship performance at the CIAC Class LL divisional wrestling meet Saturday at Trumbull High School.

Andrew Mikosz scored an 18-1 technical fall over Isiah Dominguez of Norwalk to capture the 215-lb. title. Four other Blue Knights were placewinners, enabling Southington to compile 141.5 points, good for fifth place among 26 teams which scored in the state's largest division.

The State Open is scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
