SOUTHINGTON, CT — Over the weekend, Southington first responders rescued a person who fell 15 feet at Ragged Mountain, landing on jagged rocks.
Members of the town's police and fire departments and an ambulance were dispatched to the mountain at 11 a.m. on Feb. 12. The caller gave Southington 911 dispatchers directions to the climber, who had fallen on "jagged rocks at the base of the cliff," the Southington Fire Department said on Twitter.
Other hikers in the area had made initial contact with the person, who has not been identified.
