Southington Announces Holiday Openings/Closings

SOUTHINGTON, CT — 'Tis the season to kick back, relax, and enjoy the holiday season.

And with that come closed schools, closed municipal offices, and general changes in operations hours this time of year.

To that end, Southington has announced its openings/closings schedule for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. They include:

• Southington Town Hall and the John Weichsel Municipal Center will be open Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

• Southington Town Hall and the John Weichsel Municipal Center will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day).

• Southington Town Hall and the John Weichsel Municipal Center will be open Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

• Southington Town Hall and the John Weichsel Municipal Center will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026( New Year's Day).

• The Southington Public Library is open for "limited hours' on both Christmas and New Year's Eve. It is closed on Christmas and New Year's Day (Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2026).

• Southington Public Schools has early dismissal on Tuesday, Dec. 23, with winter vacation starting on Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 2. Classes resume on Monday, Jan. 5.
