In Memoriam: Ann Kopka Frangione

Ann (Askuntowicz) Kopka Frangione, 93, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor in New Britain.

She was the wife of the late Edward Kopka Sr. and Frank Frangione Sr.

Born October 23, 1922 in Southington she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Sophie (Losienkowa) Askuntowicz.

Ann is survived by two sons, Edward Kopka Jr. and wife Marlene of Southington and Kenneth Kopka and wife AnnMarie of Torrington; two step-sons, Frank Frangione Jr. and wife Kay of Southington and Ron Hiltpold of Chalfont, PA; a sister Sophie Mastrianni of Southington; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Vincent Arnol and John and Michael Askuntowicz; a sister Helen Emonds and a step-daughter, Jeanne Hiltpold.

Ann’s family would like to thank Dr. Leonard Glaser and staff for all their care over the years, the staff at the St. Lucian's Residence and the Daughters of Mary of the Immaculate Conception.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
