Evelyn (Theriault) Owsianik, 93, died on February 4, 2016 at Saint Mary’s Home in W. Hartford.
She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Owsianik for over 50 years.

Born in Caribou, Maine on September 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Olive (Gagnon) Theriault.
She was a Medical Technician during World War II serving from 1943-1945 in the U.S. Army. After serving in the military, Evelyn was a hairdresser for Joan’s Beauty Salon and also worked at the Aqua Turf. She was a very active parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the choir for over 40 years.

Evelyn is survived by a sister, Irene Berube, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Gilbert and Clarence Theriault and a sister, Lillian Saucier.
A Memorial Mass followed by Military honors will be held on Saturday, February 13, at 11 am at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
