Frederick D. Schuler, 92, passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Southington Care Center.
He was the husband of the late Mary (Nickerson) Schuler.
Fred was born on November 29, 1923 in Mullins, SC, and was the son of the late Frederick and Sally (McMillin) Schuler.
Fred served in the US Marines during World War II and had retired from Marlin Rockwell in Plainville. Fred was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowing and gardening.
He is survived by three sons, Bob Schuler and his wife Anita of Southington, Frederick Schuler III and his wife Barbara of Vermont and William F. Schuler of Meriden. Fred is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with a sister Francis Owens of South Carolina and several nieces.
He was predeceased by grandchildren Eric Schuler and Sara Barny and nephew Frankie Owens.
Fred’s family would like to thank Southington Care Center and his home provider Theresa Marino for all their care, attention and support given to Fred and his family.
Services for Fred will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in South Carolina.
