In Memoriam: Jane Glowasky-Bridschge

The Plantsville resident passed away Nov. 3 at the age of 81.

Jane Glowasky-Bridschge, 81, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at HCC at Bradley Memorial.

She was the loving better half of Richard Bridschge for 52 years.

Born in Wolcott on February 17, 1934, to the late Andrew and Susan (Shia) Glowasky, she had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

Jane worked at Chase Brass in Waterbury for 28 years and then retired from Pratt and Whitney in Southington after 15 years of service.

In addition to her loving partner Richard, she is survived by her very special daughter-by-choice Brittany Brunelle of Plymouth, her brother Paul Glowasky of Plantsville and 3 sisters: Dorothy Glowasky of Plantsville; Anne Kalinowski and her husband Walter of Wolcott and Ruth Kuzara of Southington and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by 3 brothers, John, Richard and George Glowasky and her sister Ethel Fortier.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at the Central Baptist Church, 1505 West St., Southington. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 1505 West St. Southington, CT 06489.
