In Memoriam: Viola Sabatino

Viola (Stella) Sabatino, 90, formerly of Southington, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 at the Southington Care Center.

She was the wife of the late Gaetano Sabatino.

She was born Feb. 19, 1925 in Braddock, PA the daughter of the late Pietro and Frances (Nunnary) Stella.

She had been a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Sabatino and his wife Beth of New Britain, Francine Ruck and her husband Frank of Plainville, Carol Lemieux and her husband Paul of Milldale, David Sabatino and his wife Xiaohua Sabatino of Lakeland, FL. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, Rene Magyar, Kristin St. Pierre, Charlene Batchelder, Lisa Williams, Johnny Wiliams, Ronny Sabatino Jr., Darlene Sabatino, Mitzi Sabatino, David J.T. Sabatino, Nora Ann Sabatino, Jeffery Sabatino, Nickolus Sabatino, Lee Ann Sabatino, Nicole Marie Sabatino, Albert Fiorillo and Christopher Fiorillo 10 great-grandchildren, Kayla St. Pierre, Zakary Magyar, Samantha St. Pierre. Elyna Fontanez, Gabbrella Sabatino, Cassie Degrandis, Christian Sabatino, David A. Batchelder, Thomas Batchelder and Jessica M. Batchelder, 8 great-great-grandchildren, Aiden Burill, Rileigh Theriault, Alivia Fiorillo, Ryan Fiorillo, Irianna Batchelder, Mina Batchelder, Zoie T.A. Sarrington and Nora A.H. Oakes, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Laura Fisher.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
