Pizza Place To Resurrect Itself In Southington: Reports

The soon-to-open pizzeria will be in a prominent business complex on Center Street in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A pizza restaurant that once operated in West Hartford and, then, Cromwell before shuttering last year is now hoping to be resurrected in Southington.

The Meriden Record-Journal/CT Insider is reporting Monday that Barb's Pizza's owner Barry Arpaia will soon reopen his eatery at Factory Square in Southington, a shopping/restaurant complex at 168 Center St., Southington.

According to the Barb's Pizza Facebook page, the restaurant shuttered in 2021 in West Hartford just after the 2020 pandemic hit.

It then relocated to Cromwell, where it closed in 2023, according to Barb's Pizza social media.

Commenters generally had kind words for the news that Factory Square would house a pizza place, expressing optimism it would do well.

CT Insider reports that Barb's will partner with the popular "Montana Nights" recreational ax-throwing operation at Factory Square, with folks soon being able to eat a slice and throw an ax.
