Police Invesitgating Gunshot Wound Victim In New Britain

Authorities in New Britain are investigating after a Bristol man was found suffering a gunshot wound in a vehicle that left a city road late Monday.

According to New Britain police, officers around 10:23 p.m. were dispatched to the area of Adams Street on the report of shots fired. Police located a vehicle that had left the road and crashed into a bush.
Inside the vehicle, police said, a 28-year-old Bristol man – whose identity has not been released – was found suffering a gunshot wound. The man was taken in an ambulance to an area hospital, where he was treated for injuries that authorities have described as non life-threatening.

Investigators believe that “the parties involved in this incident” are known to each other, and that “there is no perceived threat to the public or the surrounding area.”
No arrests have been reported in connection with the shooting.
